History of New Hope Delaware

New Hope Delaware was born in the summer of 2013 by a handful of families who believed God was calling them to a special purpose. New Hope was founded with the idea that “everyone is someone, but no one is anyone.” Everyone is important to God and has a place in His work.

The very first service of New Hope was held at a firehouse in Ostrander. Outgrowing that, New Hope met in a variety of  locations including a gun range, a city park, a Mexican restaurant, and a realty office. God gave us our first  “permanent”  location in October of 2013. 23 North Union Street was the perfect place for a church like ours to grow. It was situated across the street from a nursing home and right next to a bar. In late 2016, the Lord provided the New Hope Delaware family with the opportunity to purchase our own building at 74 Wootring Street in Delaware.  After a great deal of work, we had our first service at our new property on January 1, 2017.

The New Hope Delaware church family wants to minister to the Delaware community. We believe in people and churches working together to show God’s love to everyone. This includes the homeless, the hungry, the poor, the addicted, single mothers, post-abortive ladies, divorced men and women, and people who are hurting. After all, we are all broken…just in different ways. But together, we are growing, healing, helping, and loving each other to spiritual health. God brings people like you not only to get help, but to help those already here. You can have a place in NH’s history.
